God’s Power Through Women

I was at a Women's retreat this weekend with a group of the most wonderful ladies. There were about forty of us and the time spent together was truly uplifting. As the weekend unfolded, I could feel God working through these women; comforting, convicting, encouraging. As we were gathered together at one point, I looked around the room and thought, "there is so much hard fought wisdom right here." How true that is. But, the only way for that wisdom and knowledge to be useful is for us to share it. To make ourselves vulnerable in the imparting of our stories and the lessons gained. That is what we did this weekend. And when women gather together in this way, the power of God is at work in the midst of us. This is where healing and transformation take place. Of course, retreats aren't an everyday event. How can we keep this movement going? By continuing to do daily, exactly what we did this weekend, opening ourselves up to sharing our stories and listening to the stories of others.
