Helpful Practices
I went for a long walk with a friend the other day. It was a time of relaxation with nature and good conversation. You can imagine that on a two hour walk, there were multiple conversation topics! I found myself at ease including Mikael in the dialogue; mentioning things he'd done, sharing about his battle with addiction and discussing grief. My friend was completely comfortable with all topics, both listening and sharing. It is simply so incredibly comforting to be able to talk freely about those we love who are gone. I truly believe it is the best thing anyone can do for a grieving person. Just let them talk about their person.
