When Christmas Hurts

This past week, our church held a service to support and comfort those who struggle during the holiday season. The service was titled, “When Christmas Hurts.” I had the privilege of working with my dear friend Beth to plan and organize the evening. It was a beautiful and meaningful service and the feedback we received was so positive. It is so apparent that people want and need this type of connection. So many are struggling with loss and hardship and what we all really wish for is to be seen, understood and provided with connection and hope. I think this is something we can each endeavour to do over the holidays; reach out to one person and offer compassion. If we each did this, think of how many people would end up feeling a little less alone this Christmas.
